Does Permanent Makeup Hurt? What to Expect
“Does it hurt?” is the question I get more than any other about permanent makeup. Here’s my honest answer.

I’m never going to promise you’ll feel absolutely nothing. Everybody’s sensitivity is different, and I’d rather tell you that upfront than have you surprised in my chair.

What I will tell you is that many of my clients are surprised by how comfortable their appointment is. I use topical numbing and continue checking on your comfort throughout the procedure. You can always tell me how you’re feeling so we can make adjustments or take a break when needed.

Most people describe the sensation as scratching, pressure, or vibration, though some do experience discomfort. Your experience may vary depending on the area being treated and your individual sensitivity.

Whether you’re considering microblading, powder brows, permanent eyeliner, or lip blushing, we’ll discuss what to expect for your specific service before we begin.

For many of my clients, the fear beforehand turns out to be worse than the appointment itself. It’s understandable to feel nervous, especially when you don’t know what to expect. That’s why I take time to explain the process and answer your questions.

You don’t have to feel ready to book a procedure before having a conversation. A complimentary phone consultation gives us time to discuss your goals, comfort concerns, and which service may be right for you.

If fear has kept you from looking into permanent makeup, let’s start with your questions.
